Xbox 360 vs Xbox One
Material
The
Xbox One
has more efficient computing capabilities that allow for smoother operation. In the Xbox 360 there is a 3.2 GHz triple-core processor, while the Xbox One has two quad-core modules. Memory has also been significantly increased between generations, from 512 MB
Mo
for the 360 to 8 GB for the One.
Another difference is how the Xbox One works inside. Microsoft has separated the computer systems that run the game from the one that runs web browsing to use apps like
and Skype. This allows console users to update apps as needed, while leaving the game system unchanged for game developers.
Controllers
At the Xbox One's launch, Microsoft claimed it had made over 40 controller upgrades. Some of these upgrades include the addition of 'menu' and 'view' buttons - the view button allows users to watch game replays - and a port
USB
to charge the battery. Other changes include:
General: The Xbox One controller is a slimmer, straighter design as opposed to the bulky 360 curved. The weight is about the same, but more towards the center so it sits comfortably in the hand.
Analog Sticks: The Xbox One stick is looser, has an outer rubber grip and a curved center to fit the gamer's finger. The four points that bothered have disappeared.
D-Pad: The D-pad on Xbox One is a simple plus-sign shaped D-pad with four distinct click areas, as opposed to the wonky one in 360, which made up-clicking, right-clicking confusing or up and right at the same time.
Kinect
The Xbox 360 pioneered the Kinect motion-sensing device, but Kinect wasn't released as an add-on until 2007, two years after the 360 console launched. The Xbox One comes with a version plus recent version of the Kinect and has a faster processor for better interaction.
Both versions received mixed reviews, with some complaining of lag and other usability issues.
< p>Removable hard driveYou cannot remove the hard drive from the Xbox One. However, there were removable hard drives in early versions of the Xbox 360. The Xbox 360 E 250 has an internal hard drive that can be removed and replaced as needed. The Xbox 360 E 4GB Flash Hard Drive is not removable.
Bluetooth capability
Only the Xbox 360 has Bluetooth capability.
Through a separate Xbox-branded headset, Xbox 360 users can use Bluetooth near-field technology to interact with the game console. Primarily, Bluetooth for Xbox 360 allows chatting with other gamers while playing online. It is also capable of receiving phone calls.
Graphics
According to reviews and gaming comparisons, the Xbox One has smoother and more realistic graphics than its predecessor, the Xbox 360. This is mainly due in part to an improved and faster graphics card, and a faster processor .
Backward compatibility
The Xbox 360 is capable of playing games released for the original Xbox system. p>
Many gamers were upset when it was announced in 2013 that old Xbox games couldn't be played on the One, but
Microsoft said
that it was possible to rig an XBox 360 via an XBox One using a
hdmi cable
to play older games.
Finally, in June 2015 Microsoft
announced
during the E3 conference that Xbox 360 games can now be played on the Xbox One. Microsoft has developed an Xbox 360 emulator for the Xbox One so old games can be played on the new console.
Games available
Because the Xbox 360 has been on the market since 2005, it has more games available than the One. There are nearly 1,000 games available for the 360 console.
In January 2014, there were just under 100 games available for the Xbox One.
Exclusive games
< p>Since 2005, some 250 exclusive games have been released for Xbox 360, including Halo 3 and Halo 4.So far, there have been 11 exclusive games for Xbox One, including Killer Instinct, Halo, Sunset Overdrive, Dead Rising 3, and Powerstar Golf.
Apps
Similarly, Microsoft requires a paid Xbox Live Gold membership to access most apps, like Netflix, YouTube, or HBO Go, with Xbox 360 or Xbox One.

Technical issues
During its run, the Xbox 360 experienced technical failures, and its "Red Ring of Death" became notorious among gamers. When the console experienced a "general hardware failure", a red light would illuminate on the front of the console. The problem became so serious that Microsoft had to extend its
manufacturer's warranty
on all models before the Xbox 360 S.
Having only been on the market since November 2013, no chronic problems with the Xbox One have yet surfaced. However, some users have complained about noisy or non-working disk drives.
Subscription Services
Xbox 360 users can sign up for a free Xbox Live subscription called "Silver" (later changed to Xbox Live Silver). There was also a premium subscription called Xbox Live Gold which cost $59.99 per year. The biggest difference between the two services was the online multiplayer game.
With the introduction of Xbox One, Microsoft removed the free Xbox Live subscription. Instead, users will have to pay a subscription or forfeit access to online play and other live features. The subscription still costs $59.99 per year.
Xbox 360 and Xbox One allow users to download apps like Skype and
netflix
and access the
Internet
through the console using Xbox Live.
There are several differences between Xbox Live Gold for Xbox One and Xbox 360. In addition to apps and online gaming, Xbox One is capable of handling game DVR, Skype, and SmartMatch, a service that matches gamers online.
