Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Premium Wireless Surround Sound Gaming Headset for Xbox One

First of all. Plug them into a computer and UPDATE the firmware. Alright, let's go from there. These are comfortable, at least for the first 3-4 hours and probably longer for most. I have a big head (hat size 7 1/2) and they are quite nice. There's plenty of room for an even bigger head and they spread out nicely too. They will fit around a gallon size paint can, lol! As you pull them apart, they don't get very tight. They stay loose(ish). Well, no coward. It's just that they don't pinch their heads. Lots of cushion for the top of your head too. These are the MOST convenient gaming headphones I've EVER used. Because they have an internal rechargeable battery, there are NO CORDS. NOTHING. Completely wireless! You can just take your headphones, turn them on, chat and play. Nuthin' plugs into nuthin'! I LIKE THIS. If you forget to charge the battery when it's low, you definitely CAN play while it's charging and in that case there would be a wire. But only then. I usually plug them in, every other gaming session, when I'm done for the night and let them charge. They are micro USBs. I haven't had any connection issues with the XBOX either. I haven't tried using the Bluetooth function yet. Mainly because when I play a few times a week in the evening, the only people who call me are already online with me. Chat volume and game volume work well independently of each other. In other turtle beaches if I upped the game the cat would get stronger too and vice versa, but apparently not with these. The superhuman feature seems to work quite well. In the Predator mission in Wildlands, I could totally hear where the Predator was on the map and it's fun. You mute the mic so no one can hear you by turning it around. My friends can hear when I mute it too. If you wanted complete privacy when muted, be aware that apparently there is some noise and they would know they are muted. So far, everything seems pretty good. Why 3 stars? Here is my main problem and it bothers me EVERY TIME I USE THEM. It's the mic or maybe the surveillance mic. The microphone activates when you start speaking, otherwise it's kinda off. I think it might be noise canceling for people online with me? Anyway, every time I start speaking and the mic "pops" or "turns on" there's a noticeable delay before I hear myself in the headset and it's ABSOLUTELY boring. I hear myself "in the room" probably 2 or 3 tenths of a second before I hear myself in the headphones. Once I'm in the sentence I'm speaking they're fine (in fact I wish I could hear myself as loud as I hear my teammates but that's never been the case with Turtle Beach) and when I finished speaking, I don't notice the mic "turning off" so to speak. But, as soon as I say anything else, there is AGAIN this delay. GRRRRR. I had TB's X32 and these were glorious. The microphone I'm talking about didn't exist. It was just always on. Never lag or delay. I hope I was clear about my problem. It's hard to explain when writing about it, you almost have to use them in person to know what I mean. It's really a big deal for me and that's why 3 stars. There's so much to love about these, that's why no less than 3 stars. I'd say if they didn't have the mic issue (for me) they would be THE BEST gaming headset I've ever used and 5 STARS ALL DAY .If you don't mind my issue with them, or Don't mind, I'd say buy these immediately! PS The charging cable included with these is the coolest little micro USB I've ever seen. It is contoured to your fingers for easier removal from the helmet. I love it.UPDATE!!:Wait a minute! WAIT A MINUTE!!!! I posted this review and 10 minutes later I decided to read the best review of this helmet (by J Dog) and it SOLVED MY PROBLEM! You access the Stealth 700 settings when connected to your computer after downloading the software and following the J Dog settings guide. Basically all I had to do was turn off the mic gate setting. NO MORE DELAY.Wow. Ok, so now I stand by what I said at the end of this review. This is the best gaming headset I've ever owned. LOVE THEM now!! THANK YOU J Dog!! This is a link to his review. If that doesn't happen, just search for the best review of this helmet.
