Plantronics - Voyager 5200 Charge Case (Poly) - Headset Case Charger
I have owned/used Plantronics headsets for more years than I can remember. Does this mean that I have always used Plantronics or that I have never used other brands between Plantronics? Of course not... but I always end up going back to Plantronics. Why? Because there is nothing better. Case in point - In 2009, whatever headset I was using at the time (I believe it was from Motorola) was doing "weird" things, and I had narrowed my choices down to three possible replacements: Plantronics Voyager , jaw, & BlueAnt. All three were highly rated. Where I was working (at the time) a couple walked in and I noticed the husband/boyfriend wearing the Voyager. Approaching them initially to provide customer service, I turned the conversation to Bluetooth headsets and, mentioning my three choices, he said, "It's interesting that you mentioned those specific headsets because I have the Voyager and I had the other two. Between them, the Voyager is, by far, the best of the three. In fact, it's the best helmet I've ever had. “That being said, my decision was made...and the Voyager series headsets have been what I've been using ever since. didn't have a headset, and I really needed one), which up until the 5200 was the best headset I've had. Now the Voyager 5200 has taken that 'top spot'. I HIGHLY recommend the Voyager 5200, as well as its charging case As for the charging case, I originally thought I could use the Voyager Legend charging case to charge the Voyager 5200, but, due to the "angle" near the charging contacts they wouldn't touch the contacts on the Legend case so I ordered the 5200 charging case... and likewise I was hoping to be able to charge the Legend inside the 5200 case ...but, again, no dice. That would have been great, because the 5200 case has two ways to charge the headset. Unlike the Legen case d, which can only charge the headset from inside the case, the 5200 case has a second charging point, allowing you to use the case as a charging stand, with the headset propped up, this which makes it very easy; go". Logitech has as always done an outstanding job in the design and quality of their products. Ignoring the "problem" of not being able to charge the Legend (although other companies are doing the same kind of thing, making " minor tweaks", forcing consumers to buy new accessories)... which, in truth, really isn't a "problem"... the Plantronics Voyager 5200 charging case is an exceptionally well thought out and well designed product Yes, it's slightly (but, again, not by much) on the "overpriced" side... but... if you have a job like me, where you have a good possibility that the battery is low, and need a headset charging case, I HIGHLY recommend getting one. Even if your work doesn't drain your headset battery, you should still consider getting one. Call it that" peace of mind". In addition, even for regular use of home charging It's so much better than having to plug & unplug the headset - just stick it in the "stand" charging slot, and, when you're ready to go for the day, just grab & go.
