Now that your headset's microphone is enabled and set as the default device and you've increased your microphone volume, try it and see if it works. If it does, then you've solved the problem.

Method 2: Update your audio drivers

Your Turtle Beach headset's mic will not work if you are using an incorrect or outdated audio or headset driver, so you should update the driver to see if that fixes the problem.

You can update your driver manually or automatically. The manual process is time-consuming, technical, and risky, so we won't cover it here. We also don't recommend it unless you have excellent computer knowledge.

On the other hand, updating your driver automatically is very easy. Just install and run

Easy driver

, and it will automatically find any devices on your PC that need new drivers and install them for you. Here's how to use it.

1)

To download

and install

2)

button.

Easy driver

will scan your computer and detect any driver issues.

You can also click on the

Update all

at the bottom right to automatically update any outdated or missing drivers on your computer. (This requires the

Professional version

— if you don't already have it, you will be prompted to upgrade when you click

Update all

.)

Once you have updated the driver for your Turtle Beach headset, restart your computer. Then connect again and see if the microphone works.

Method 3: Troubleshoot hardware issues

If your headset microphone still isn't working, it's likely that there are hardware issues with your computer or your headset. In that case, there are a few things you need to do.

First try to connect your headset to

another port

on your computer. This will fix any issues you may have with the port you are using.

If changing the port doesn't work for you, connect your headset to

another computer

and see if that fixes your microphone. If so, you should contact your computer vendor for advice.

If none of the above helps, the problems may be with your headset. Next, you should contact Turtle Beach for assistance or to have your headset repaired.
