HyperX Cloud II Gaming Headset for PC and PS4 - Red (KHX-HSCP-RD) I've had them for about a week and used them for about 16 hours for gaming and a few hours for listening to music. important is worth noting later, I'll add to this review. Background I'm an audiophile, I'm old, so my hearing isn't what it used to be. However, I've always had a very top of the line and generally the highest quality headphones. I'm also a PC gamer. Fit and Quality They are extremely comfortable: they fit snugly, but are not tight. If you wear glasses, you will barely notice the temple pieces, if at all. The leather earpads are soft and fit well around your ears, isolating you from all ambient sounds in your home. There is also an extra set of foam ear cushions to replace the leather ear cushions. You can install these if you want something even softer. I have a slightly larger head. I wear a hat size 7-1/4, and with a baseball cap I'm usually in the last one or two adjustment holes. Phones won't fall out when you tilt head back or forward. Usually they (feel) very light on your head, and after three or four hours of playing, your ears are not all sweaty and warm. don't accumulate. I live in Hawaii, so I'm a good test for that. The material used is of high quality.Anodized steel, leather pads for the ears and the headband and a hard plastic shell form the ear cups. The attachment points are solid on the ear cups. The only thing for which I might shock the design is the wiring to the earbuds. Although it is securely attached, it is possible to accidentally snag one of the wires and possibly damage the connection. Of course that would be a circumstance away.My wife loves them too, because the oval shape of the cups leaves room for her earrings. For you guys who have big ears or wear earrings, especially those big suction cups, you may be out of luck. There is a simple instruction you need to follow for PC setup. Go to your audio application's control panel and configure the 7.1 version included in the box. concerning the "virtual sound" , I can't tell the difference between this and what the stereo offers. During the game, I can hear things left, right and center. For music, stereo placement is good and music with good mix will place the instruments where they could be on stage. Classical music: of course the violins are on the left and the brass on the right. If there were a lot of problems with this product, they would lose money on a warranty of two years. The packaging is top notch, beautiful, well designed and is another clue that you are getting something good enough. The box is built like Fort Knox and all the doo-dads are packed tightly in foam. a music bag for travel and adapters for PC, Mac and game consoles, including controllers. The cord is covered with fabric and prevents tangling. I have used ear buds before and these things always get tangled and fall out of my ears, or come loose. The cord is long enough and the volume control of the mic and headset is convenient. The in-line control also has a Mic-mute switch. All things considered, this is a 5 star amenity in every way. I did not have any perks or prompts to write this review.
