HyperX Cloud Flight - Wireless Gaming Headset, Long Lasting Battery up to 30 Hours, Detachable Noise Cancelling Microphone, Red LED Light, Comfortable Memory Foam, Works with PC, PS4 & PS5

Delivery: I ordered these items expecting to receive them about 5 or 6 days later. I ended up receiving them 2 days later. It was a nice little unexpected bonus! Price: $159.99 for a legitimate wireless set is a pretty good deal. SteelSeries is still trying to sell its Siberia cordless model for $255.99. The sheer number of cheap Logitech wireless sets might tempt you, but the poor sound quality and awful battery life should put you off. Packaging: As always, HyperX's packaging is clean and minimalistic. You get everything in a nice little box. I did not observe any damage or fingerprints on the box upon opening. Product Appearance: Mostly black, which I like. Has the option for minimal lighting effect, which can be turned off to save battery. I appreciate the matte finish as opposed to the high gloss of some headsets. Appearance is always something HyperX gets. Sound quality: You should keep in mind that this headset is wireless. That means you'll be able to tell the difference if you're used to playing games while wearing high-end $400 wired sets. But for me, a normal dude who is not a sound technician, these have excellent sound quality. I mainly used them for playing FPS (Fortnite, Overwatch) and also watched 2 movies while wearing them. The sound quality is the same as my wired HyperX set. Microphone quality: My friends don't complain about my volume or voice quality on calls together. Big bonus points for the fact that the mic is detachable. You may not like this option if you tend to lose small items. But personally, I like to take the mic out. Battery: I've got about 25 hours on these bad boys and haven't charged. Of course, I turned off the red lights. Maybe I should have waited for them to die before writing this part of the review? Sorry about that. Range: I can go to the kitchen for a new Crispy Boy or go to the bathroom with these and have no issues disconnecting. I have not tested more than about 30 meters. Comfort: Much more comfortable than my Cloud2 set. Even with glasses on, they're still very comfortable, which is the main issue I have with most gaming headsets. Lightweight but still comfortable. No discomfort or irritation after a long gaming session. Features: The most notable feature for me is the volume control on the set. The dial is larger, which I like, and has a more tactile feel, compared to other sets. What I don't like: Please be aware - this issue is probably just a technical issue on my end. I can't get sound through my office speakers when the USB dongle is plugged in. Even when the headset is off!! I have to unplug the USB dongle from my computer to get sound on my desk speakers. Again, this is probably just a sound setting that I need to look into and change. TLDR: Got to my door very quickly. Reasonable price for wireless. It looks great. Feel good. Great. The microphone works well. The battery lasts at least 25 hours. Really comfortable.
