Suffice to say, I'm officially "old." My first game system was an Atari console that I spent hours on, turning a knob and thinking it was fun. ages of darkness. Thankfully, we've moved light years away from the early days of the game, and turning knobs is now relegated only to opening doors. In my 50 years on the planet, I've played many other gaming systems, both handhelds and consoles. Nintendo, Sega, Playstation, Xbox, and whatever else I could find. I've also used over 20 headphones for various applications, half of them having a built-in microphone. Sony, Apple, Bose, Creative Sound Blaster and others. It's been years since I've used headphones Turtle Beach brand.--------------------------------------------- --- ---- I bought an XBox One over the holiday season as a bundle that included an Xbox Gold subscription. I also made a deal on a one-year subscription to the EA Sports membership. Currently I'm obsessed with MUT 18. I then connected the headset to the 3.5mm port on the bottom of my Xbox wireless controller . I turned the headset on with the slide switch and a green light came on indicating it was powered on I made sure the mic volume and master volume sliders were set to low before switching to Xbox input.NOTE: There is also a PS4 input.👍 This is what I liked about the Recon 200...➤ The build quality is good.➤ The on-ear speakers from 40mm offered more than enough power for my ears without distortion. Amplified audio can be adjusted both on the headset via the volume control and in your system specific settings. ➤ They are compatible with Xbox One, PS4 and PS4 Pro, and works with Nintendo Switch, PC and Mobile (tablets and smartphones) with a 3.5mm headphone jack.➤ A solid performer and not very expensive. they certainly seemed to block out outside noise in my house with very little bleeding so that so others could hear in the room. It was great when I was watching an action movie on Netflix at 1am and didn't want to wake up my family, but still wanted to hear the "booms" from the movie !➤ The high-sensitivity microphone worked great - super clear - with easy-to-use volume control, and the feature that lets you flip it to mute it works as expected. Being able to easily adjust the mic volume and hear your own voice was great. worked. No squealing! ➤ Earbuds covered my ears and were not uncomfortable for short term wear under an hour. ➤ Cable length of about 4' is good with controller. ➤ Independently powered ➤ The volume controls for general and mic adjustments are simple to use. ➤ The included quick start guide is easy to follow and the Turtle Beach support information is clearly placed in the package. ➤ One year warranty from date of purchase to cover defects if found.----------- -----🧐 What I wish was better about this product...♦︎ Earphone comfort was good at first, but my ears got sore after about 1 hour of use. Maybe me or will the headphones adjust (soften) with prolonged use?I hope so!♦︎ Support information for the Recon 200 is not yet on the Turtle Beach website. looking for how to adjust the volume via Xbox settings and found it, but under another model.♦︎ I have a fairly large head and these headphones fit me without pinching. Some fat guys might find them too tight despite the fact that the metal-reinforced headband is adjustable.♦︎ Although the bass output sounds good, there is no adjustment for bass refinement boost” on these phones. Some devices will however allow bass to be adjusted (iPhones for example) in their settings.--------------------------- -------------------- ------------------☆ Conclusion ☆I really like the Recon 200.And I think for a gamer on a budget it's a great choice. Whether you want an immersive entertainment experience or want to chat with gamers at a LAN party, these wired headphones are a bargain. ----------- ----------------------------🛠 Audio adjustments may be required 🛠When playing First time using these headphones, you may notice the volume level is too low, even on the highest setting on the phones. On your gaming system or PC, there are specific "headphone" or "audio" settings that may need to be adjusted in order for these headphones to provide you with the volume you are looking for. Once my Xbox audio settings have been adjusted at maximum for headphones, I had to lower the maximum volume of my headphones because it was too loud for me.------------------------ -----------------------------------------
