Brookstone Wired Cat Ear Headphones

These headphones are well worth the amount of money I've spent (at least, so far, as I just received them about an hour ago). I bought these specifically from Hummingbuy at around $45-$50 (base price) (I needed the cheapest one as I had to buy things for school and my cat as well), and they do their job. I'm sure since I paid for standard shipping (projecting the shipping time between March 5 and March 8) the shipping time was affected, but it took three business days to arrive. Being one of those people who can't wait for their package(s) to arrive and who think about it on a daily basis, I applaud the speed of shipping that has been put in place. • Miscellaneous to note: -My package seemed a bit tampered with (the packaging the headphones came in, not the outer box the outside world handles when shipped here), but everything works fine. -I haven't used the mic or charging cable yet, so I can't rate them. The headphones are charged (at least partially), so I guess the battery life is okay. -I don't plan to use them for gaming; listening to music was the intended purpose when ordering, so I can't really give advice/rating on how well they work when playing. -The audio cord connecting the headphones to whatever you plan to plug them into (in my case, my phone) is a decent length. The only complaint I have with it is that the controller (the part that has the volume control and pause button) is about halfway between the earbuds and whatever you're connecting them to, which which bothers me a bit. The plug-in area for the cord is on the left side of the headphones, whereas I'm used to having mine on the right. I also heard that the controller doesn't work on Android phones, but I have an Apple so I don't know. -Headphones are big and bulky. The on-ear parts are relatively large compared to my head and ears, but I still have a small head and ears. Headphones are bulky, which means they're bulky when put around your neck, and they'll take up space if you plan to put them in a bag to take them with you, especially if you're responsible and put them in their carrying case. before hand (which I would recommend doing). -The carrying case is a zippered hard case, which is good for protecting the headset and the items that come with it. -Headphones hurt after being worn for a long time. -For those wondering, no, these headphones are not Bluetooth and must be used with wire. However, I heard that there is an updated version of these headphones which are Bluetooth. • Sound Quality: -Over-ear portion: The sound quality is top notch, not going to lie. It's not static and the music is well represented (all sounds can be heard). It's not necessary to turn the volume up too high to block out the sound or to hear what you're listening to (“not too high” meaning less than halfway), but if you're in a quiet place and you remove your headphones, sound can be heard from your on-ear section (as expected). I would give this section 5 stars. -External speakers: They work pretty well. No static in this area either, and sounds can be heard at a fairly low volume. I would also give this section 5 stars. • Quality of materials (overall): the plastic seems quite durable, although my headphones have a small dent in the plastic: small enough that it's not really visible. The soft parts under the top of the headphones (to make it more comfortable when worn) and around the over-ear sections are of good quality, the only downside is that they can get a little greasy (as I I expected that too). However, as mentioned, the headphones give you a headache after a while. I would give a 3.5 star rating. All in all, I'd say the total $56 I spent on these was well spent. I'd say any higher price for these wouldn't be worth it in terms of audio quality, but in terms of all the components these headphones have to offer, a max of $60 would be my compromise on their value.
