BENGOO G9500 Gaming Headset Headphones for PS4 Xbox One PC Controller, Over Ear Headphones with 720° Noise Cancelling Mic, Bicolor LED Light, Soft Memory Earmuffs for Gamecube Super Nintendo PS5

I thought these headphones wouldn't perform as well as them. Even unboxing them they felt a little flimsy... like they would break within a week. Honestly, I'm pretty hard on gear and so far they've lasted with nothing cracking and breaking. First, let me start by saying that the reason I bought these was not for gaming. I use them for video conferencing via Zoom, Teams and other things. I use them for training webinars and attended Microsoft Ignite using them. I created my own workout videos and I also listen to music with it. I play a few games using them, but that's not their only function. I'd probably look elsewhere for a pro-gaming headset if that's your goal. When you're in a game, you really want the surround sound effects and sensitivity that could make a difference in a tournament. There are 3 things I really like about this helmet. For one, it has a little LED on the mic that tells you if it's active or not. It might not seem like a big deal, but it's huge when you don't know if other people can't hear you because your mic isn't working, you're muted in the program/computer, or the presenter tells you muted. It's just a nice little touch that I found useful. The second thing I like is the inline volume control which is easily accessible. It's not an original feature, I know, but it's in a handy place on the cable and it's not a tiny little button you have to work on to raise or lower. I find it easy to turn the volume up or down and find myself using it instead of the volume controls on the computer. The third thing I like about this headset is that there is a small mute button. Hold it! It's not a button, it's a switch. That's what I love about it. You do not press any button to mute or unmute the sound. My last headset had a mute button and half the time I didn't know if I was muting when I pressed it or unmuting. With a switch it is simply on or off - a no-brainer. They seem to work quite well in other areas and the wiring seems to hold up so far. The noise cancellation isn't the best, but it does a pretty decent job. The price I would say is a pretty decent buy. If I had more options for colors it would have been nice, but I'm happy with what I got.
